This book was more than just a glossary. Although it included the 6.829 terms used by the The Poem Lab algorithm, it additionally included other information necessary to understand the installation. It was designed as a negative-positive, black and white book-set of two books. Furthermore, it playfully allowed an overview of László Moholy-Nagy’s recurrent themes throughout his work, by means of infographics.
The leitmotif of the installation and of the publication was a simple figure: the circle. Black dots that turn white, white dots that turn black, and mix, remained the visual focus and reappear in the book in different ways, very prominently and maximalistic. The dots in the Glossary Book serve as design elements in the different charts, as index tabs on the sides, and obviously as punctuation signs.
